Amazon, one of the top e-retailers, has insulted India Flag by selling the Doormats having India Flag printed. It was found that Amazon Canada has been selling doormats that have India Flag.

It is not at all acceptable that anyone insults India flag, and as soon as the foreign minister Sushma Swaraj Ji came to know about this incident, she got active on Twitter and took a tough action.

She wrote to the Indian High Commission in Canada and shared her concern on this insult. She requested the High Commission to contact Amazon Officials and get this removed and stop selling such doormats and other products that insult India flag.

It was the result of her quick action and the tweets that she had done one after another that Amazon had to remove doormats with India Flag.

Thanks to Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj

For this, we would say our heartiest thanks to Madam Sushma Swaraj. Amazon had admitted its mistake and the product is more available for sale.

If this is not done forthwith, we will not grant Indian Visa to any Amazon official. We will also rescind the Visas issued earlier.

Her Tweets gone viral and Amazon had to remove the doormats. It is really great for we Indians that our Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj ji too active to resolve the concerns of India and Indian people.

Question from People of India

This is not the first time that Amazon has been found selling products, hurting the emotions of India and Indian people. It had been done earlier as well.

So, the question is, will people of India start giving preference to other e-retailers like Flipkart, Shopclues, ShopCj, Homeshop18, PayTM, etc. or not. It is true that Amazon had removed the product, but emotions have been hurt as well, which cannot be neglected.
