Let us go through the specifications of the device.

Display Size and Resolution:

The screen size on the Moto G5 is an average 5-inch compared to the 5.2-inch display on the Moto G5 plus. It supports a full resolution screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution. Motorola has a good history of producing screens with excellent colour reproduction and reliability. The device is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen.

The device features a 1.4 GHz octa-core processor running on Snapdragon 430. The Snapdragon processor performs decently while running most basic social networking applications with ease and also play light gaming. However, if you love gaming on a smartphone, you should go with the G5 plus that sports a Snapdragon 625 processor.

The Moto G5 comes with a rear camera of 13-megapixel and a front shooter with a 5-megapixel resolution to click selfies. The cameras on the Motorola devices are better than most of the other devices such as the Redmi or Coolpad devices.

Moto G5 runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. If you are looking for a budget device that runs on the latest Android, Motorola is certainly the brand for you to look in.

The device sports a 16 GB internal memory to install applications and also comes with 2 GB of RAM to support multi-tasking.  The memory can be expanded by the use of microSD card up to 128 GB.

Battery Capacity:

The Moto G5 comes with a 2800mAh removable battery. In the current generation of smartphones where the manufacturers rarely provide a removable battery, this is certainly a great step to provide a removable battery. This option ensures that the user is capable of replacing the battery in case it gets spoilt or damaged.

Connectivity and Sensors:

Like most of the other smartphones nowadays, the Moto G5 features a dual sim tray that is capable of accepting two different sim cards. Also, the device comes with all the other necessary sensors on an Android phone.

Although the Moto G5 is a great device, it is rightly overshadowed by Moto G5 Plus that features a lot better specifications like 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory with a Snapdragon 625 processor. If you can spend a little more, it is advisable to go for the Moto G5 Plus instead of the Moto G5. So make wise use of your money and go for the Moto G5 Plus instead.
